We travelled to a park called Trinity Islands at Burrum River. This wasn't our first choice as we were planning to stay at Woodgate but the fishing competition meant there was no room. The Trinity Islands park was fantastic - a perfect blend of a park with power and facilities and a camp ground. They have built canals and spaced out the large sites very well and having a firepit overlooking the water at sunset was magical.
We also visited Seary Creek on the way and stopped at Maryborough (where the Mary Poppins author, Pamela Travers, came from) for tea and cake, and we also marvelled at the height of previous floods!
