So, our first actual day of travel started with a few hours of packing...and last minute dashes to different stores like Anaconda and Officeworks. Then we got a call from Tiona Park where we were staying the first 2 nights offering a free cancellation because the weather was horrendous!
So our choices where:
- Go anyway and brave the weather
- Stay in Sydney (perhaps spend the first night in the North Curl Curl car park!)
- Change plans and go inland
Well we decided to head inland and find a place to stay around Orange where it looked like the weather was clearer.
So we headed off with the weather bleak and pretty miserable, but still very excited! The drive was without any drama and I drove until just short of Blackheath and then Taemar took over until Bathurst. The final stretch was to a place called Stuart Town and then a final 10km's to the Reflections Holiday Park, Mookerawa. We arrived just on 7pm, so it was dark. It was a bit tricky to locate the site as it's 4km from the entrance, and did I mention it was dark? But we successfully reversed into the site, hooked up, powered up the van and all was good, although we didn't really know what the park was like until the next day when we woke up...
